San Telmo’s neighborhood, a typical corner of Buenos Aires, preserves like no other the purest characteristics of the old city. When going along its streets it can be probed that the old houses resist the time pass. And in this way we reach an old corner of the soul, Balcarce & Independencia, international well-known for sheltering the most traditional tango-house, the pioneer &, may be, the one who has preserve the real identity of Tango through the years: El Viejo Almacén.

The main characteristic of El Viejo Almacén is that, not only tourists from all over the world come to visit it, but, also, it remains as the place chosen by Argentineans to listen and feel the rhythm of a tango. This mix of Argentineans and tourists provides a unique magic to our house where the cultural barriers between different nationalities no longer exist & everybody come together through one of the highest expressions of all cultures: music.

Regarding the marketing, we keep on projecting our brand abroad by means of different commercial missions, as well as, trespassing borderlines & taking our show to different countries. Domestically, we not only perform our daily show but we also take special casts to other executive events such as luncheons with shows, Congress closings, product launches, working breakfasts, social parties, etc.

El Viejo Almacén presents its show and identity in different places simultaneously, so we not only count with our regular cast but with alternative & rotating ones.

With a 31-year background, El Viejo Almacén is in a position to export different tango shows, regarding structure & duration, which can be adapted according to the setting where performed.

These consist of  the three tango expressions: dance, singing and orchestra. The dance, art that expressed through the sensuality of the movement, has conquest the major stages of the world.
The voice, vocalized melody that whispers and vibrates with the heart of tango and revives full of emotions and feeling.
Finally, the orchestra with each instrument as unique voice and a despaired bandoneón crying along to frame the essence of our music.

Shows are complemented with a stage design and clothing for each acts and dances, letting the night light mix with tango’s sophisticated elegance.
